Fire damages garage, vehicles in Liberty

The state fire marshal’s office is looking for the cause of a fire that destroyed a garage and several vehicles in Liberty Township early Tuesday.

Several fire departments, including a crew from the Youngstown Air Reserve Station, were dispatched to the 2000 block of Pleasant Valley Road just after 2 a.m. after a caller reported a possible explosion in the detached garage.

Firefighters faced the possibility of a propane tank in the garage while battling the fire.

Crews were on the scene for more than two hours.

No injuries have been reported.
