Niles plans $1.7M street resurfacing: Is your street included?
The city of Niles will spend approximately $1.7 million this spring and summer to resurface numerous local streets, city officials announced Tuesday.
The resurfacing project is part of an ongoing effort to upgrade the city's aging infrastructure.
The following streets are scheduled for resurfacing:
- Mauro Circle (from Deforest Road to the cul-de-sac)
- Bentwillow Drive (from Cassandra Lane to Trumbull Avenue)
- Summerberry Lane (from Cassandra Lane to Trumbull Avenue)
- Trumbull Avenue (from Camrose Drive to the end)
- Frederick Street (from George Street to the end)
- Old Forge Road (from Mill Creek Drive to the end)
- Susan Court (from Nancy Street to the end)
- Roberts Avenue (from North Road to the end)
- Cynthia Street (from George Street to the end)
- Fairview Avenue (from Robbins Avenue to the end)
- Hazel Street (from Robbins Avenue to Belle Terre Avenue)
- North Rhodes Avenue (from Hogarth Avenue to the cul-de-sac)
- McEvoy Court (from Clinton Street to the cul-de-sac)
- James Street (from Timber Lane to the end)
- Poplar Street (from Robbins Avenue to James Street)
- Stepney Street (from South Cleveland Avenue to the end)
- Stepney Street (from McDonald Avenue to the end)
- North Cleveland Avenue (from Clinton Street to Hogarth Avenue)
- Roosevelt Avenue (from Taft Avenue to the end)
- Ford Avenue (from Vienna Avenue to Lafayette Street)
- South Street (from Belmont Avenue to Summit Avenue)
- Pratt Street (from Mahoning Avenue to the end)
- Allison Avenue (from Erie Street to Fulton Street)
- Wood Street (from Robbins Avenue to the end)
- Fulton Street (from Robbins Avenue to Henry Street)
- South Crandon Avenue (from Robbins Avenue to South Street)
- Mason Street (from Wood Street to Mahoning Avenue)
- Indiana Avenue (from Fifth Street to Third Street)
- Iowa Avenue (from Fifth Street to Third Street)
- Eliza Avenue (from Fifth Street to Third Street)
- Dragon Drive (from East Federal Street to Wade Street)
- Franklin Street (from North Main Street to Liberty Street)
- Sherman Avenue (from Fifth Street to Prospect Street)

The project is funded through approximately $1.5 million in local funds and $200,000 in state and federal grant money.
