Scattered outages still reported in southern Columbiana County

Repair crews from utility companies continue working Thursday afternoon to restore power to 351 homes and businesses in southern Columbiana County.

While FirstEnergy has only four outages reported, AEP and the Carroll Electric Cooperative continue to work on scattered outages, most of which are around East Liverpool, Calcutta, and Wellsville.

Customers of those companies have been without power since Tuesday night’s severe storms rolled through the region.

AEP expects to have power restored by midnight Thursday, May 1.
