Columbiana High School Senior, Summer Sinsley, is accepted to into Harvard University in the Fall of 2025.

She's among 3% of students accepted to the Ivy League school worldwide.

Sinsley said getting accepted took a lot of hard work, including speech and debate, academic challenge, various clubs and scoring a 34 on her ACT.

"It definitely feels surreal and you're really only limited by yourself," Sinsley said. "Whatever you want to do, you can go do that and whatever you want to be, you can go be that. It just takes a lot of hard work and a lot of great people in your community, such as my great educators that I had the experience of being taught by, my supportive parents and friends and family who surround me."

Sinsley received the Harvard Faculty Scholarship and will major in astrophysics or mathematics with the ultimate goal of working in applied research fields.
