SharkNinja is recalling about 1.8 million of its Ninja Foodi multi-function pressure cookers in the U.S. and Canada after reports of burn injuries.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced Thursday that the pressure-cooking lid can open unexpectedly during use, causing hot contents to escape and posing a burn hazard to consumers.

SharkNinja has received 106 reports of burn injuries, including more than 50 reports of second- or third-degree burns to the face or body. Twenty-six lawsuits have been filed.

The recall involves all Ninja Foodi OP300 Series Multi-Function Pressure Cookers, which have functions including pressure cooking and air frying. The 6.5-quart capacity cookers were sold in black with “Ninja” printed on the front and on the product label. The model numbers included in the recall are OP300, OP301, OP301A, OP302, OP302BRN, OP302HCN, OP302HAQ, OP302HW, OP302HB, OP305, OP305CO and OP350CO. The model number is printed on a label on the side of the cooker. Any OP300 series replacement pressure cooker lids purchased separately are also included in the recall.

The recalled products were sold at Walmart, Costco, Sam’s Club, Amazon and Target stores nationwide and online from January 2019 through March 2025 for about $200. About 1,846,400 units were sold in the United States and about 184,240 were sold in Canada.

Consumers are urged to immediately stop using the pressure-cooking function of the recalled Foodi cookers and contact SharkNinja for a free replacement lid. The air frying and other functions can still be used.

Consumers can contact SharkNinja toll-free at 888-370-1733 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Eastern time Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern time Saturday.
