City of Niles welcomes two new firefighters

The City of Niles welcomed two new firefighters on Friday.

Matt Kello and Kyle Kyser were sworn in by the city’s mayor at the downtown station. 

The additions bring the department to full staff with 30 members including six lieutenants. 

“Full department means we can maintain our services to the citizens, maintain our quick response times,” Chief John Stevens said. 

The department also promoted firefighter Adam Kashien to lieutenant.
