Youngstown Mayoral Candidate John White was booked into the Trumbull County Jail on Friday.

According to online jail records, Liberty Police arrested White on Friday, May 2, on a charge of disrupting public service.

White was released the same day on $12,500 bond. Jail records also indicate that the charge will formally be filed in Girard Municipal Court.

White is running as an independent for Youngstown mayor, although he may not be eligible for the ballot.

White was previously deemed ineligible to run for mayor in 2021, and his eligibility has once again come into question
