Upcoming week brings multiple road, lane closures in Youngstown

Drivers traveling through Youngstown can expect several road and lane closures this week due to various construction and maintenance projects.

Beginning Monday, May 5, the Center Street bridge will have lane restrictions in place as crews work on the bridge's relief joints. The restrictions are expected to last until Friday, May 9.

Also on Monday , Market Street southbound will be closed between the intersections of Commerce Street and Federal Street from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the replacement of a building's HVAC unit.

On Tuesday, May 6, the intersection of Phelps Street and West Federal Street will be closed from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. for HVAC work at Wick Tower. Additionally, Francesca Avenue will be closed between Belmont Avenue and Guadalupe Avenue for a sewer tap.

Later in the week, West Federal Street between Hazel Street and Market Street, and Phelps Street between West Federal Street and West Boardman Street will also require closures. Specific dates and times for these closures have not yet been announced.

Detour routes will be posted closer to the times of the scheduled closures.
