New Castle woman killed in head-on crash on Route 422

Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) in Lawrence County have identified the victim of fatal head-on accident on Route 422 in Pulaski Township.

The crash happened around 6:45 a.m. Monday near the state line.

According to the report, 60-year-old Catherine Rodgers of New Castle was killed in the collision.

State Police say Rodgers was driving east on Route 422 while another car was traveling westbound. Rodgers attempted to make a left turn onto Marr Road and was struck by the other car.

The report says Rodgers was not wearing a seatbelt when the crash occurred.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol's Crash Reconstruction unit provided technical crash assistance. They are trained to use technologically advanced equipment relating to crash reconstruction.
