Dog rescue community mourns loss of All About The Pawz founder

The founder of All About The Pawz Dog Rescue in Austintown has died.

The rescue announced the passing of its founder Nancy Ferrell on Facebook Monday.

Ferrell started the rescue in 2015 to create a safe space for animals in need and quickly became a lifeline for dogs in the area.

Volunteers with All About The Pawz wrote that Ferrell poured her heart and soul into rescue.

"There will never be another Nancy," the Facebook post said. "The world has lost one of its most devoted animal advocates, someone whose legacy will live on in every life she touched, both human and animal."

All About The Pawz has created a GoFundMe to help keep the rescue going. Money from it will be used to care for the animals in their building.
