A special leadership summit made its return to Youngstown State University to help student athletes shape their lives off the field.
Game Changers held it's 10th annual GC-360 Summit Tuesday.
The event equips 200 high school athletes throughout The Valley with essential tools for success in their personal and professional lives.
This year's theme was intention and the group's leader said the athletes learned more than just what's important on the field.
"I felt that it was necessary to make sure that with all of the competition, the 7-on-7's and everything that we pour into our young people to do athletically and physically, that we're making sure emotionally that we're pouring into them and letting them know the leaders they need to be," Game Changers Executive Coach Michael Engram said. "We focus on three things here, that's career fitness, mental fitness and financial fitness."
Athletes heard from different professionals about a variety of topics including Name, Image, Likeness (NIL), emotional wellbeing and more.
Former Pittsburgh Steelers offensive tackle Mike Adams also led one of the discussions.
