Motorcyclist flown to hospital following crash near Warren Township

A motorcyclist has been flown to the hospital following a crash on a Trumbull County highway.

A trooper with the Ohio State Highway Patrol tells 21 News a motorcyclist was riding on SR-5 near West Market Street and Homeview Avenue when she went off the road and was partially thrown from the motorcycle.

She was flown to the hospital with what troopers describe as severe injuries to her leg. However, she is expected to be ok.

Troopers say they do not know what caused the motorcyclist to go off the road at this time.

The roadway is currently closed.
