One of two men charged in a robbery spree spanning Liberty, Austintown and Canfield has pleaded guilty to the charge of first-degree aggravated robbery with a mandatory three-year firearms specification.

Thirty-three-year-old Shane Adams was indicted in January alongside 31-year-old Tylin Fairchild in connection with a string of robberies that occurred earlier that month.

Adams and Fairchild had allegedly robbed the Papa John's Pizza in Liberty as well as a Shell gas station in both Austintown and Canfield before being arrested by police.

Afterward, police chased both suspects through Beaver Township followed by another chase through Powersdale and Cameron Avenue in Youngstown, before they were captured after an attempt to flee on foot.

Adams is scheduled for another pretrial date next Thursday, May 15.
