Capri Cafaro's 'America the Bountiful' nominated for James Beard Award

"America the Bountiful," is a show that was created and hosted by former Ohio senator and Mahoning Valley resident Capri Cafaro.  Cafaro is also the executive producer of the show.  "American the Bountiful" has been nominated for a James Beard Foundation Broadcast Media Award in Travel Visual Media.

Cafaro has been doing "America the Bountiful" since April of 2024. The second season of the show began airing in April of this year.

The show, hosted by Cafaro takes the viewer throughout rural America to explore culinary history and traditions.

The James Beard Awards mission is stated as such in the media release: "to recognize exceptional talent and achievement in the culinary arts, hospitality, media, and broader food system, as well as a demonstrated commitment to equity, community, sustainability, and a culture where all can thrive."

Past nominees in the same category include the CBS Sunday Morning show, Top Chef and Lidia's Kitchen. 

Award winners will be announced in Chicago at the Columbia College Chicago Student Center on June 14, 2025.
