The Lisbon Post of the State Highway Patrol is investigating a crash involving an all-terrain vehicle Saturday night.
The State Highway Patrol received a call about a wrecked ATV with a man lying on Steubenville-Pike Road at approximately 8:21 p.m. Saturday.
The crash happened north of State Route 518, only a few hundred yards from Show's house, near Applegate Road.
A medevac helicopter was called for 41-year-old Jim Show, who was transported to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Youngstown with serious injuries.
Show's sister, Amy Hissom, told 21 News that her brother's heart had stopped, and multiple people at the scene helped perform CPR until EMS arrived.
Two of the men who found Show spoke with 21 News and said they were driving home from fishing when they noticed headlights off the road. One of them, Jason Frank, said Show had no pulse when they arrived, and he immediately began CPR. Ethan Hart, who also helped, told 21 News the crash happened just feet from where he himself was seriously injured in 2022 after being thrown from the back of a pickup truck.
The State Highway Patrol was back at the accident scene on Monday, gathering information and taking more photos at the crash site. It is not clear what caused the crash that seriously injured the driver.
Anyone who saw anything regarding the accident is asked to call the Lisbon Post of the State Highway Patrol at 330-424-7783. Show's father told 21 News that his son is currently on life support at a hospital in Youngstown.
