Two hospitalized after car smashes pole in Canfield

Two people were arrested after a car crashed into a utility pole in Canfield late Monday.

Police say the pole was cracked when the car slid into it at the south end of the green at around 11:30.

Police say they had to track down two occupants who left the crash scene. They were taken to the hospital to be checked out.

As of 5 a.m., 37 homes and businesses were in the dark.
