Cleveland Clinic will be changing its copay policy for certain services beginning next month.
According to a letter sent to Cleveland Clinic patients and posted on the hospital's website, Cleveland Clinic facilities will begin collecting copays before or at check-in for non-emergency outpatient services effective June 1.
You can pay your co-pay with a credit or debit car, check or FSA/HSA card at all locations. Some locations may also accept cash, Apple Pay or Google Pay. You can also make payments in MyChart.
This policy change will apply to the following services:
- Scheduled office visits for primary care and specialists
- Therapy services
- Outpatient diagnostic testing like imaging, scheduled labs, etc.
- Outpatient procedural visits and in-office procedures
Meanwhile, this change does not apply to emergency care, surgeries or inpatient hospital stays, cancer treatments and urgent or express care visits at this time. Additionally, this change does not apply to patients covered by Medicaid.
In the event that you cannot make your copay, Cleveland Clinic will work with you to reschedule your visit.
