The Sebring Local School District has been honored with the prestigious Auditor of State Award by Ohio Auditor of State Keith Faber’s office, recognizing the
district’s commitment to excellence in financial accountability and transparency.

The award is presented to public entities that meet the highest standards in government accounting and financial reporting during their annual audits.

To qualify, local governments or school districts must file timely financial reports in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and the audit must be free of any findings for recovery, material citations, material weaknesses, significant deviancies or questioned cost.

The award highlights the district's strong fiscal management and transparency in handling public funds. Sebring Local Schools joins a select group of public entities in Ohio receiving this recognition.

The district's Treasurer's Office played a central role in achieving this honor through consistent accuracy, efficiency and adherence to state reporting standards.

The award was presented by Jennifer Drlik the East Regional Liaison to the Auditor of State's Office to the Sebring Local School District Treasurer/CFO Dawn Walsh and Treasurer's Assistant Sherri Malloy for the districts clean audit for fiscal year 2024.
