Remains found in Trumbull County identified as man missing since February

The Trumbull County Coroner's Office has identified the person whose remains were found in Southington last week.

Trumbull County Coroner Dr. Lawrence D'Amico confirmed with 21 News that unidentified remains found in a garage on the 4400 block of Herner County Line Road in Southington were those of 82-year-old Robert Wolf.

A news release from the Trumbull County Sheriff's Office says they believe Wolf's remains may have been there for "an extended period of time." 

Dr. D'Amico says Wolf had taken his own life.

In February, a search party was organized for Wolf who had gone missing in the same area his remains were found.
