A Lowellville man who has been behind bars since April has been indicted.
According to court records, 54-year-old Michael Gay was indicted on two counts of gross sexual imposition, as well as one count each of importuning and disseminating matter harmful to juveniles.
The indictment, filed Thursday, May 15, states that Gay's alleged crimes happened in March of 2025 and involved an 11-year-old victim.
The exact circumstances behind Gay's alleged crimes are unclear, but he has been in the Mahoning County Jail since April 1. Court records show his bond has been set at $125,000 cash surety.
There is no word yet on when Gay will be arraigned now that he's been indicted.
