Prep Time: 10 minutes
Chilling Time: 4 hours
Ingredients:
? cup boiling water
3 ounce package strawberry flavored Jello
1 cup ice cold water
8 ounces Whipped Topping thawed
½ box Nilla wafers
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup butter melted
Whipped cream and fresh strawberries
Instructions:
Crust.
Preheat oven to 350F.
Lightly spray a pie plate with cooking spray and set aside.
Place Nilla wafers in a food processor or crush in a sealed plastic storage bag and crush into crumbs.
Transfer crumbs to a medium size bowl and stir in sugar and melted butter.
Press the crumbs firmly into the pie plate and up the sides.
Bake for 10 minutes or until edges turn golden brown.
Let cool completely on a wire rack before filling.
Filling:
In a bowl, combine the boiling water with the strawberry gelatin and stir until it's dissolved.
Add the cold water to the mixture and stir until it's slightly thickened.
Add the cool whip, mix it in until it's well combined.
Transfer the mixture to the fridge and chill for 30-45 minutes.
Pour the mixture into the prepared and smooth.
Chill in the fridge until it sets, a minimum of 4 hours; overnight preferred.
Decorate with whipped cream and fresh strawberries before serving.
