One suspect in East Liverpool murder pleads guilty; sentencing in July

One of two men charged with an East Liverpool murder that occurred four years ago has agreed to plead guilty to involuntary manslaughter, leading to a sentencing date in July.

Twenty-five-year-old Allen Tisdale received his sentencing date during his interim status conference hearing which happened on Firday, May 16.

Allen and Elvin Tisdale are being charged with aggravated murder with firearm specifications in connection with the July 15, 2021 shooting death of 20-year-old Brycen Douglas. 

Douglas was shot and killed outside a home on Pennsylvania Avenue following an argument that was had on a front porch, according to police.

Elvin was indicted in the case around 18 months after Douglas was killed. Allen was on the run until authorities were able to arrest him in March of last year.

Allen Tisdale's sentencing will be on July 21, with a recommended sentence of 10-15 years in prison for the charges he's pleading to.
