Trek Coffee House, Rocky Ridge Neighborhood Group team up for first Maple Mania event

Trek Coffee House and the Rocky Ridge Neighborhood Group have teamed up for Maple Mania in Youngstown.

The event is being held at The Freightyard on Mahoning Avenue behind Trek Coffee House until 4 p.m. Saturday.

This is the first year for the event commemorating the end of maple syrup season in the Northeast Ohio.

Maple Mania features local vendors with products inspired or infused with maple syrup including candies, baked goods, candles and artisan crafts. Syrup from Mill Creek Maple, which comes from the Charles S. Robinson Maple Grove in the Wick Recreation Area in Mill Creek MetroParks is also available.

An educational booth is also on site, giving attendees a chance to learn about the syrup making process.

"Maple Mania is our way of celebrating the arrival of spring and bringing together local makers, farmers, families, and neighbors in one fun and flavorful event,"  Trek Coffee House team said. "We love hosting events that connect people to the season and to each other."
