Job training, housing, healthcare among resources at Wednesday event in Youngstown

 The City of Youngstown and the Community Initiative to Reduce Violence (CIRV) will host the annual Ammal HOPE Conference on Wednesday, May 28. The event, described as the city's largest resource event of the year, will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Covelli Centre, at 229 E. Front Street.

The conference aims to connect residents with various services and resources offered by over 100 city and county agencies. Available assistance includes information and support related to Bureau of Motor Vehicles services, legal aid, clothing, education, sober living, healthcare, utilities, senior living, children's services, job training, housing, and employment.

According to organizers, the conference will also provide resources tailored for re-entry and justice-impacted individuals, seniors, veterans, adults, and youth, to improve their circumstances and offer opportunities.
