Fifth grader at Warren's Willard School dies in vehicle crash Sunday night

The Warren City Schools are mourning the loss of a fifth grader who was killed in a vehicle crash Sunday night.

The fifth grader attended Willard PreK to eighth grade school in Warren on the city's southeast side.

Grief counselors are at the school for students and staff. They will be available all week for fifth-grade students.

"Our thoughts are with the family, friends and students at this difficult time," a post stated from the district.

The district's spokesperson confirmed the tragic incident to 21 News but did not know where the accident occurred.
