East Liverpool Police have found the weapon used in a deadly shooting believed to have stemmed from a love triangle.
The East Liverpool Police Department posted on its Facebook page that the gun used in the fatal shooting of James Powell in the area of Montrose and Eutaw Thursday, May 15.
East Liverpool Police Chief John Lane told 21 News the gun was found in a pickup truck on Chester Avenue.
Powell was shot and killed May 15 in a shooting that is believed to have stemmed from a love triangle involving Powell and a woman that both he and suspect Daniel Whitley had a relationship with.
Chief Lane previously told 21 News Whitley fled the scene, but was later found hiding under the porch of a nearby home. He was then placed under arrest and charged with murder.
Whitley is due back in court Thursday, May 22.
