Electric baby swings recalled over suffocation risk

A recall has been declared on a line of electric baby swings designed by the brand Nezmdi due to concerns with safety.

According to the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (USCPSC), the baby swing poses a suffocation hazard to infants due to an incline angle greater than 10 degrees.

Other violations include insufficient warnings on both the swing body itself and the remote control, which is mandatory for a remote like the one that comes with this baby swing as it uses lithium coin cells.

The design choices mentioned above violate both the Safe Sleep for Babies Act and Reese's Law.

Nezmdi electric baby swings with the model number of S0008 and labeled "Baby Swing Chair" are the ones being recalled. About 1,420 of these baby swings are called upon for return.

The label with both identifying factors is located under the seat.

Refunds will be offered to customers who bought one of these recalled baby swings.

Below is the official recall from the USCPSC.
