Dog transported to vet after house fire

Multiple crews responded to a house fire on Larry Lane in Bazetta Township on Saturday.

Bazetta Fire, Howland Fire, Champion Fire, the Air Base, Johnston Fire, and Cortland Fire were called around 11 a.m. to a structure fire.

Firefighters fought heavy blaze conditions throughout the home, but were able to quickly extinguish the flames.

Both residents made it out of the house safely. However, their dog "Tiberius" was still inside.

Firefighters were able to save Tiberius from a bedroom and immediately put him on oxygen.

The residents then took the dog to the vet. His condition is unknown.
