Route 158 improvement work begins in Lawrence County

PennDOT Route 11 has announced roadway improvement work on Route 158 in Wilmington Township and New Wilmington Borough in Lawrence County has begun Monday.

Singe-lane alternating traffic will occur on SR-158 between SR-18 and Mercer County weekdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. through mid-November. Flaggers will assist drivers through the work zone. 

Improvement work includes milling and paving, drainage upgrades, structure work, base repairs, guide rail updates and pavement markings.

The project will cost $3.87 million and work will be done by Shields Paving.
