MS Consultants has contributed $5,000 to the Youngstown Warren Regional Chamber (YWRC) Foundation for an initiative to help reboot downtown Youngstown.
This is the firm's second investment of $5,000 to the cause following its initial gift in 2024. The funding is part of an $8,000 allocation from the firm to support YWRC's commitment to restoring Youngstown's vibrancy after years of adversity.
The initiative is led by the Economic Action Group (EAG) and is supported by $25,000 from the City of Youngstown and a $50,000 Vibrant Communities grant from JobsOhio.
YWRC President and CEO Guy Coviello says Youngstown has faced numerous challenges in recent years from the COVID-19 pandemic to the explosion at Realty Tower in 2024.
"Thanks to partners like MS Consultants and the strategic efforts led by EAG, we are moving forward with a bold plan to rebuild a vibrant and prosperous downtown," Coviello said.
MS Consultants Eastern Ohio Regional Director Mark Buchenic says the firm is happy to continue its commitment to the revitalize Youngstown and its surrounding areas.
"Youngstown holds a special place for us. It's where MS Consultants was founded more than 60 years ago, and we'll continue to invest our resources and expertise to help the community thrive," Bucenic said.
