City of Niles sets mosquito spraying dates for June through September

The City of Niles has set mosquito spraying dates for June through September.

The spraying will begin in the late evenings and into the nights of June 5, July 10, August 7 and September 4 weather permitting.

Despite the spray being completely safe, city officials ask that residents be conscious of open windows, bring pets indoors and keep outdoor activity to a minimum during these times.

Niles also advises that property owners in low-lying areas with mosquito problems and stagnant water should contact the mayor's office.

The City of Niles in collaboration with the Trumbull County Combined Health District will administer mosquito larvicide tablets into stagnant water to hinder mosquito breeding at no cost.
