Southwoods Health in Boardman and Grove City Medical Center in Mercer County have received awards for cleanliness.
According to the release, The Surgical Hospital at Southwoods received a five-star rating for hospital cleanliness from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Becker's Hospital Review also lists the Grove City Medical Center as a five-star winner.
The Surgical Hospital at Southwoods was the only hospital in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties to earn the distinction.
The rating is based on data from a Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey.
"This recognition from our patients speaks volumes about the trust and satisfaction we've built in the community," Ed Muransky, Southwoods Health CEO, said. "I'm incredibly proud of the dedication and diligence of our staff who make this level of excellence possible."
