Former president of Warren condo association sentenced to five years probation for theft

The former president of a Warren condo association who pled guilty in April to attempted grand theft has learned his fate.

According to the Trumbull County Prosecutor's Office, 63-year-old Randy Rule was sentenced to five years of probation and must pay back $140,000 in restitution at $250 per month to the Surrey Point II Homeowner's Association.

An indictment accused Rule of stealing a total of $140,218 from the association his time as the organization's president between January of 2015 and December of 2022.

Rule had submitted falsified invoices to management from work that was never performed with some of those invoices being from companies that didn't even exist according to investigators.
