The Shenengo Township Police and Fire/EMS responded to an accident at State Route 318 near U.S. Route 376 Thursday afternoon in Mercer County.

The Shenango Township Police Department informed 21 News that the accident involved a motorcycle and a semi-truck and occurred around 3 p.m.

One person on the motorcycle was transported to the hospital in critical condition, and the accident is under investigation.

Mercer West Middlesex Road eastbound at I-376 off-ramp was shut down, as well as westbound from the 760 on-ramp.
