U.S. Open Championship at Oakmont sold out, limited practice round tickets available

The United States Golf Association (USGA) today announced that tickets for the championship rounds are officially sold out for the 125th U.S. Open, taking place June 9-15 at Oakmont (Pa.) Country Club. 

“The tremendous response from golf fans in Pittsburgh, across the country and around the world demonstrates the excitement about the U.S. Open coming back to Oakmont,” said Jon Podany, USGA chief commercial officer. “We appreciate the loyalty of U.S. Open spectators and are confident that this year’s championship, being played at one of our three anchor sites, will provide a very memorable experience for all attendees.”

Champions Pavilion (Wednesday only)

Fans interested in attending the nearly sold-out championship should visit usopen.com/tickets to explore any remaining practice round inventory or access the USGA Resale Marketplace — the only safe, secure and verified platform for buying and selling U.S. Open tickets. 

Tickets for juniors are still available on-site at the Ticket Office and at all admission gates during the championship. Juniors aged 12 and under can request a complimentary gallery ticket any day when accompanied by an adult ticket holder. Juniors aged 13-17 can request a complimentary gallery ticket for practice rounds, and can purchase a discount junior gallery ticket ($50) for championship rounds, with a ticketed or credentialed adult. There is a maximum of four juniors per ticketed adult. 

The U.S. Open was previously contested at Oakmont (Pa.) Country Club in 1927, 1935, 1953, 1962, 1973, 1983, 1994, 2007 and 2016. World Golf Hall of Famers Ben Hogan, Jack Nicklaus, Ernie Els, Tommy Armour, Larry Nelson and Johnny Miller are among the champions to win at the venerable club. Dustin Johnson captured the last U.S. Open at Oakmont in 2016. As an anchor site, Oakmont will also host the U.S. Open in 2033, 2042 and 2049.
