Free dental clinic in Sharon this weekend

This weekend dental professionals will be donating their time to help those who can't afford dental services.

The effort is made possible through a partnership between the Buhl Regional Health Foundation and Remote Area Medical, which specializes in setting up pop-up clinics.

Doors for treatment open at 6 am but people should begin lining up sooner.

Organizers say it's become more difficult for people to afford dental work because most dentists do not accept Medicare.

"We don't have a lot of dentists. It's a very limited community of dentists in our area. We've seen a 10% reduction in dentists since 2015," said Jessica Koss, Buhl Regional Health Foundation.

The clinic takes place Saturday and Sunday (June 7-8) at Sharon High School.

Make sure you get there early to secure a spot because services are provided on a first-come, first served basis.

Last year they treated nearly three hundred patients.
