An approaching area of low pressure will bring showers back to the valley on Sunday. Raindrops will spread from southwest to northeast throughout the morning, with showers being the most likely around midday. High temperatures will be in the upper 60s, on the cooler side for early June.
Showers will become more scattered during the second half of the day before tapering off Sunday evening. Skies will clear overnight, potentially leading to the development of patchy fog on Monday morning. Otherwise, the Monday morning commute will be quiet with a mix of sun and clouds.
High temperatures are expected to reach the mid-70s on Monday, but an approaching cold front will bring another round of showers and storms. A few strong thunderstorms cannot be ruled out Monday PM, with the possibility for gusty winds, small hail, and an isolated tornado.
Any remaining storms are expected to come to an end early Monday night, and more pleasant weather is anticipated for the middle of the week. Skies will be mostly sunny on Tuesday and Wednesday with temperatures in the 70s.
High temperatures are expected to return to the 80s for Thursday and Friday. Scattered showers will become possible on Friday afternoon, and additional rain is expected on Friday night into Saturday.
