Driver killed in Youngstown rollover crash identified

A 55-year-old woman died Saturday evening following a two-vehicle rollover crash on Youngstown's South Side.

According to a release from the Mahoning County Coroner's Office, the woman has been identified as Donna Elifritz.

According to the release, the incident continues to be under investigation.

Youngstown police were called to the intersection of Southern and Midlothian Boulevards shortly before 6 p.m., where they found one of the vehicles overturned on its roof.

Elifritz, the driver of the overturned vehicle, died at the scene.

The driver of the second vehicle involved in the collision was unharmed.

The Youngstown Police Department’s Accident Investigation Unit, along with the Mahoning County Coroner’s Office, is investigating the crash.
