Giant Eagle set to take over some Rite Aid pharmacy prescriptions

According to a news release, Giant Eagle will be taking over the prescriptions of some Rite Aid customers.

During the first wave of Giant Eagle pharmacies that were announced to be taking over Rite Aid pharmacy prescriptions, 30 locations were included in the list.

Among those 30 locations listed, three Rite Aid locations in Mercer County were included.

Beginning on June 3, 2025, the Hermitage Giant Eagle Pharmacy, located at 2365 East State Street, Hickory Plaza in Hermitage, took over Rite Aid prescriptions from:

A second round of Giant Eagle pharmacies were announced on June 6 that outlines several more locations that will take over prescriptions from Rite Aid.

Included in this round was a location in Greenville, Pennsylvania.

Beginning on June 12, 2025, the Greenville Giant Eagle Pharmacy, located at 419 South Main Street, Greenville, will take over prescriptions from the Rite Aid location at 335 Main Street, Greenville.

The remaining stores due for pharmacy prescription transfers are set to be announced at a later date as information becomes available.
