A coordinated effort by several law enforcement groups led to a morning raid on a Warren home and the arrest of a man already facing numerous drug-related charges and a domestic violence accusation.

Darius Priest, 33, was arrested after officers from the Warren Police Department's Street Crimes Unit, along with the Warren Tactical Entry Team and the Trumbull Action Group, searched a home at 1545 Tod Ave. NW at about 7:13 a.m.

During the search, investigators found about 3.8 ounces of suspected illegal drugs, including crack cocaine, cocaine, heroin, and fentanyl, according to the Warren Police Department. They also seized items used with drugs and a 9mm handgun.

Priest was taken to the Trumbull County Jail. Police said additional charges stemming from the items found will be filed once lab results from the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation are complete.

He was also arrested on 14 existing drug charges that Trumbull County Common Pleas Court secretly filed. These charges involve allegations of selling various drugs, including fentanyl compounds, cocaine, and heroin, as well as possessing cocaine.
