Police are investigating after multiple vehicles were reported to be stolen from a home in Liberty Township that exploded over the weekend.
According to a police report, police were notified on Monday, June 9 of a Hercules trailer parked at a home on the 500 Block of East Montrose Street that was believed to be stolen. Police say that trailer was on the property when they responded to the explosion days prior.
Additionally, a Toyota 4-Runner, a four wheeler and a lawnmower are all believed to have been stolen from the property as well.
Police say flock cameras captured the stolen Toyota towing a trailer in the area of Gypsy Lane and MLK Boulevard around 12:48 a.m. Monday. The Toyota was again captured on flock cameras about an hour later on Robbins Avenue, but it was no longer towing the trailer.
At this time, there is no indication that any of the stolen property has been recovered and no suspects have been named.
The home the vehicles were allegedly stolen from exploded after a deadly incident Saturday night killing 34-year-old Justin Braun and critically injuring two more victims including a four-year-old child.
Police believe the explosion was caused by occupants making homemade fireworks in the garage.
