Youngstown State University has received a donation from PNC Financial Services of $100,000 to go towards the Kilcawley: Centered on the Future Campaign.
"PNC has sustained a variety of YSU's efforts, and their impact continues through their support of the Kilcawley: Centered on the Future campaign," said YSU President Bill Johnson.
To honor PNC's donation towards the rebuilding of Youngstown State's central hub, the university has decided to name the south campus core entrance the "PNC Entrance.
"YSU is a vital cornerstone of this community," said PNC Regional President for Youngstown Ted Schmidt. "We are happy to continue PNC's support of an institution of higher learning that plays such a significant role in the lives of Mahoning Valley residents."
YSU's Kilcawley: Centered on the Future Campaign is the schools initiative to revitalize Kilcawley Center, the university's student activities center that currently features a food court, conference rooms, meeting hall and full indoor recreation area.
