Two shootings occur within hours on Youngstown's west side

There is an ongoing investigation with two shootings on Youngstown's west side on Saturday.

The first shooting happened on North Maryland Avenue around 4 p.m. One person, who was shot in the arm, was sent to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Then around 7 p.m. another shooting was confirmed by police on North Portland Avenue. 

Youngstown Police says there are no current suspects.

It is unknown at this time if both incidents are related.
