Cardinal Mooney High School to hold annual youth Football Camp of Champions
The Cardinal Mooney High School in Youngstown is once again holding its annual two day Football Camp of Champions for grades 3-8.
The camp will take place on Monday, June 30 and Tuesday, July 1 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Run by Cardinal Mooney head coach Frank Colaprete the camp is designed to sharpen kids football skills over the summer under the guidance of experienced coaches and clinic leaders.
Camp coaches include:
- Michael Zordich Sr. – Cornerback Coach, Youngstown State University, 12-YR NFL player
- Reno Ferri – Tight Ends Coach, University of Akron
- Mike Tomczak – 14-year NFL quarterback
Camp clinic leaders include:
- Kyle McCarthy – NFL Scout, former University of Notre Dame player
- Donald D'Alesio, Defensive Back Coach, Baltimore Ravens
- Matt Kubik – Offensive Coordinator and QB Coach, Campbell University, North Carolina
- Tim Marlowe – Cardinal Mooney Football Coach, former University of Nebraska player
- Michael Zordich Jr. – Cardinal Mooney Football Coach, former Penn State and NFL player
- Courtney Love – Cardinal Mooney Football Coach, former University of Kentucky player
Instruction will focus on offensive and defensive fundamentals and will group kids into age groups for practice.
The cost for the camp is $50 per participant which includes a camp T-shirt and a pizza party at the end of the camp.
