Police: Attempted murder, suicide investigated in in Pymatuning Township

One man is dead and another is hospitalized following what State Police describe as an attempted murder and suicide in Mercer County.

According to a police report, a 47-year-old man shot a 21-year-old man in the stomach late Saturday during a domestic argument at a home on Brentwood Drive in Pymatuning Township.

When the wounded man fled to a neighbor’s home to get help, police say the shooter turned the gun on himself, dying by suicide. 

The wounded victim was taken to a hospital where police say he is expected to make a full recovery.
