Skies will be mostly cloudy as you head out the door Wednesday morning. Clouds will start to break up around midday, and skies will turn mostly sunny for a time this afternoon with high temperatures in the low 80s. A pop-up shower or two cannot be completely ruled out during the heat of the day.
Clouds will increase again after sunset, and a weakening line of showers and thunderstorms will impact the area around midnight. The odds for severe weather with this line are low, but there could be a gusty shower or two very early Thursday morning.
Scattered showers will be around at times on Thursday as a cold front moves through the region. Rain is most likely to occur during the late morning and midday hours, but showers or a few scattered showers may still be possible in the afternoon. High temperatures are expected to be in the mid-70s tomorrow afternoon.
Skies will clear out Thursday evening, setting the stage for a much more pleasant day on Friday. It will not be as humid, with high temperatures in the low 80s and abundant sunshine throughout.
A ridge of high pressure is expected to build into the region over the weekend, bringing sunshine and warmer weather. High temperatures will touch 90 degrees on Sunday for the first time this year, and the start of the work week will be just as hot. Heat index values could near 100 degrees on Monday and Tuesday.
