A judicial candidate for Warren Municipal Court has been found in contempt of court according to court records.
According to a court document filed on Tuesday, June 17, attorney and Democratic candiate for Warren Municipal Court Judge Irene Makridis was warned to stop interrupting the court during discussions held outside the presence of a jury.
The document alleges that Makridis interrupted the court four times and ignored warnings to stop interrupting. Makridis was found to be in contempt of court and was fined $500.
Makridis is running for the position of Warren Municipal Court Judge against incumbent Republican candidate Natasha Natale.
