On Saturday the 13th Annual Mike Hull Memorial Ride for Autism will be holding a poker run through the Mahoning Valley featuring bikes, cards, raffles, food and live music.
A poker run is a type of bike ride where participants will make multiple stops along the ride, collecting a playing card from each, and comparing poker hands made from the collected cards at the end with the best hand winning a prize.
Registration begins at 10:00 a.m. at the Dash Inn at 2716 Mahoning Ave, Youngstown.
There the Chinese Basket Auction and 50/50 raffle will begin and organizers will hold the Blessing of the Bikes, wishing riders good luck.
At 12:00 p.m. the ride begins with stops at the local American Legion, the VFW, the Eagles, and AMVETS posts.
Riders will circle back to the Dash Inn for the final stop where live music by DJ JZ & Rezonate will be waiting alongside a banquet for all attendees.
There the poker run winner will be announced alongside winners for the Chinese Basket and 50/50 winners will be announced.
Registration for riders is $20 with non-riders welcome as well for $10 with kids 12 & under for $5.
All proceeds of the event go towards the Autism Society of Mahoning Valley and other autism related needs in the tri-county area.
The event is held in honor of Mike Hull who's granddaughter is on the spectrum.
According to Mike's wife, Nancy Hull, he was a musician who loved donating his time and talent to organizations in need and the Memorial Ride is a way for his relatives to continue his legacy of giving.
