OVI checkpoint planned for Champion Twp. Wednesday evening

The Trumbull County OVI Task Force is planning a checkpoint Wednesday evening.

It will be held on Mahoning Avenue in Champion Township between 6 and 10 p.m., according to a post from the Champion Police Department.

OVI checkpoints are funded by federal grants to deter and stop impaired drivers.

If you are planning to drink, make plans to have a designated driver or ride share service take you home.
