The Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corporation (YNDC) and the Mahoning County Land Bank broke ground on a new home in Sebring Thursday.

The new single family home will be located at 324 S. 15th Street and is being built by Joe Koch Construction.

According to the release, the home will be 1,500 square feet with three bedrooms, two-and-a-half bathrooms, an open concept living, kitchen and dining area, a front porch and a two-car detached garage.

Once the home is finished, it will be listed for sale. Down payment assistance will be available for those eligible through a partnership with Huntington Bank.

The project is funded through a grant awarded to the Mahoning County Land Bank from the Ohio Department of Development's Welcome Home Ohio grant program.

YNDC recently broke ground on homes in Campbell, Struthers and Youngstown.
